That is why personalized/personalised gifts are memorable. For instance, parents will always remember who gave their newborn a charming personalized frame, rather than the "normal" newborn gift. Personalized gifts, no matter how inexpensive they are, will always stand-out among the rest of the gifts.
It is also a great choice for the "person who has everything".
In view of this, we at CreateMyOwnGift or in short C.M.O.G brings you unique yet affordable personalized gifts right here in Malaysia.
Please browse through our range of products...and contact us should you have any enquiry. You could also leave your feedback in this blog.
Thank you for visiting our blog!

What happened to C.M.O.G in 2009?
Plus, in April 2009, my father was diagnosed with 4th stage cancer. So most of the time, our time are spent taking care of him (back and forth to the hospital). Anyway, he passed away peacefully in July (at that time I was in my confinement for my 3rd child).
Only right after my confinement I decided to make a 'come-back' to CMOG...
Many thanks to those who have been supporting us..and ever-willing to wait and tolerate with our late delivery (but trust me, we will deliver you the product just in time for your occassion, insyaAllah).
As I am still working full-time (and maidless!), I have my limitation on taking orders. So please, please, please order in advance so I can slot your order in the respective time as per your request.
Hope you love our new blog makeover! And oh, please do join our 'follower's' list!

Goodbye 2007..Hello 2008!
2007 was a great year for us (alhamdulillah). After more than 1 year break, we have managed to resume business with additional products - personalized newspaper and personalized chocolate wrapper. It wasn't easy since as for me, I'm juggling between a taxing full time work in an office and this small side business I have here (apart from raising a family). But with the support from my dearest Other-Half, I've managed to pull through (with lots of sacrifices, of course). Thanks, Yang!
I would also like to thanks my customers who completely understand my position, and willing to tolerate should there be any late delivery. Trust me, I'm trying my very best to deliver efficiently.
Of course, with such a hectic schedule, there are some plans for new products which do not take of as planned. Some of which includes personalized Christmas Gift and personalized 2008 calendars (I did mine half-way and then stopped, but am still looking for that extra time to finish the project). I think I shall brought that forward to 2008.
Anyway, 2007 has come and go. Now, it times for us to look ahead for what's in store for us in 2008. I have my personal 2008's resolution (but will dare not share it here, since there might be possibility that I could not achieve it..hehe). As for C.M.O.G, we have planned to come out with few other products, some includes improvisation of our existing product. Amongst which includes, a cheaper version of personalized chocolate wrapper and personalized party bag topper, which is perfect for your children's birthday party...
So do keep coming back or please subscribe to our mailing list by emailing me at createmyowngift@gmail.com with the subject "Subscribe Me".
Make your own Personalized T-Shirt!
A personalized t-shirt will make a lovely gift for kid's birthday. You can even make it for yourself. This is how I make my son's personalized t-shirt for his birthday last Sunday:-
Materials Required
A blank T-Shirt (ironed)
An iron-on inkjet transfer paper
Tissue Paper
A PC/Notebook
Graphic software
An inkjet colour printer
An iron and ironing board (or any hard and flat surface)
Note : Use iron-on for white fabric, if your T-shirt is light-coloured and choose iron-on for dark fabric, if your T-Shirt is dark or bright colour.
Steps
1. First, design the image you want using the available graphic software. Set the right image size so that it's not too big or not too small when printed on the T-Shirt.
Advice : You can have a look at the design of your children's t-shirt and from there you could somewhat determine the size.
2. Print a preview copy of the image on a normal A4 paper. To print preview copy, you need to choose "flip/mirror/reversed" (depending on your printer setting) so that the image will be printed backwards. Choose the highest dpi setting and correct paper setting.
Advice : It is advised that you print in full colour so that you would be able to see whether the colour comes out perfectly the way you want it. In my case, I printed it in grayscale mode just to save some ink:) I just want to see whether the size fits.
3. Once you are satisfied with the colour and size, print it on the iron-on transfer. Make sure you print it on the clear white side, and not the one that has grid line (oh, that's more of a common sense, I think). Let the ink dry thoroughly.
4. Then trim excess paper leaving 1/4" border around the image.
Advice : If you look at the photo below, the border is a bit too big. You can make it smaller, maybe half of it.
Advice : Do not use a steam iron. If you have on, switch of the steam setting.
6. Place the T-shirt on the hard and flat surface (in my case I use the ironing board). Make sure the T-shirt is straigten so that there is no wrinkle (esp on the part where you want to iron-on the design).
7. Place the iron-on paper with the image to be transferred face down on the garment in the desired position.
8. Cover the image with a tissue paper (the thin, onion like layer, where people used to make flower bouquet).
9. Place the hot iron onto the tissue paper (this is use as heat absorber so that you do not burn the transfer paper) and in circular motion and a light pressure, evenly work your way throughtout the whole image. Continously pressing the iron for 3-5 minutes.
10. Remove the tissue paper and let the paper cool down completely. In my case I waited for like 30 minutes.
11. Once it is cool down, peel off the backing paper slowly at a sharp angle..and Ta-Da! You've made your very own personalized t-shirt.
So, how easy is that? You can just make a personalized T-Shirt in a flash.
But through my experience, finding children's blank T-Shirt is not that easy. And you may have problem sourcing for iron-on paper too. Now, if you do not have the supply, we could help you...
At CMOG, we would be able provide you with these materials:-
| Item | Price |
| Blank T-Shirt (white only) | RM10.00 |
| Iron-on paper (together with instruction) | RM5 pr piece |
| Design | RM8 onwards |
| Printing | RM1 each |
IMPORTANT NOTE : Iron-on does not carry the same quality as silk screen printing. The colour might fade, or the image might peel off, depending on the printing quality, hot pressing and washing. Due to this reason, CMOG could not offer the end product i.e. the made-to-order personalized T-Shirt as we could not guarantee the quality of the product.
However, we could supply you with the material and design for you. The printing and ironing has to be done on your own. But should you insist on the printing part (as you may not have the facility) CMOG would be able to assist you, but like we mentioned, we could not guarantee the quality of the end product.
Despite this, we believe this easy to make personalized T-Shirt, just like any other personalized gifts, could make a wonderful keepsake for your loved ones.
Have fun making them!

What's Our Product?
After months of planning, market research, exploring opportunities, we came out with our first product, Personalized Books right after we registered our business as partnership in May 2004.
This personalized book is customized with the children's name as the hero/heroin of the story, together with other details like the hometown, friend's names, birthdate, age...and some even include the parents' name.
I wanted to promote more about the book, but I don't think I'll do it today as..errr...we are currently running out of stock. We've run out papers to print actually. And we hope that the paper will be in soon so we could introduce (or re-introduce our books in the market). Will keep you updated.
Back to products, while waiting for the paper to arrive, perhaps you might be interested with our second product which is the Personalized T-Shirt for Kids.
The t-shirt is for kids age 1-6 years old and we have three designs - Princess in Training, Prince in Training and Little Khalifah in Training. It is made from 100% anti-bacterial cotton. However, I would advise you to hand wash this t-shirt as the cotton it's made from light and thin cotton. This is also to avoid the neckline to stretch.
Oh yeah, currently we have only white color.
For details of pricing, delivery time and other information, kindly contact us at createmyowngift@gmail.com.
Look forward to hear from you.
P.S : I am planning to do a personalized t-shirt for my two boys for their upcoming birthday. Will keep you updated on the project.
